Let’s fight grime, one tooth at a time.

about us image for quality care

A child’s first trip to the dentist can happen as early as age one. Such tiny, growing teeth require kid-sized instruments and a gentler approach to care that regular dentists aren’t trained to deliver. Our pediatric dentist, Dr. Sholander, went through years of schooling after earning their dental degrees to develop specialized skills for working with growing babies, kids and children with special needs. We don’t just know how to treat your family; we know how to teach them oral health habits that will last a lifetime.

After your child experiences how fun dental visits can be, you’ll have no problem getting them to come back for preventative care like fluoride treatments, cleanings and basic oral exams. We offer all the services needed to keep kids healthy and happy.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit at 1 year or after the eruption of the first tooth (whichever comes first). From toddlers and kids to children with special needs, your little one will be laughing, playing and learning from day one! We start by acclimating your child to the new surroundings with a behind-the-scenes tour of the office. A little play time in our brightly-colored, toy-filled waiting area is also recommended to help your child de-stress before the exam. When it’s their turn, our pediatric dentists and dental assistants will work together to create a calm, comfortable and fun experience while they conduct a comprehensive oral exam. Depending on your child’s age, this exam may include radiographs (or as we like to call them, tooth pics) and a cleaning. Afterward, your child is rewarded with a goodie bag and other special prizes while we talk with Mom or Dad about a long-term oral health care plan.

A pediatric dentist isn’t the same as a regular dentist for adults. We offer kid-friendly care and a level of expertise that parents trust. Plus, we know how to have fun!

Very grateful for recommendation I received! Office is designed for children of all ages. They got my two year old to sit/lay and made us all feel comfortable and relaxed. Definitely going back and my five year old now wants to go there as well!

This is the best all-around dental clinic/office for kids of all ages! My son has been going since the very beginning (around 2yrs, currently 7yrs old), and he loves it. Also, I appreciate all the warm, nurturing, friendly, and knowledgeable professionals.

Dr. Sholander and her staff were so very patient with my very anxious, doctor-fearing two-year-old. Everyone we encountered was extremely professional. I appreciated the fact that she took the time to answer all my questions and wasn’t at all phased by my son’s non-stop crying.
